Ho! November write up

Another cracking trip to the Ho! began for a few of us on the Friday. The Hereford boys began their road trip early, picking up the handsome Spyke along the way. With the sun shining, the beach hard and flat and the wind blowing onshore about 25mph Bozz and Tereasa arrived upping the SWATK numbers to 6!

The tide was out and we all had hours of flying until it began to get dark and the water came in. Mark especially was enjoying himself on his Sabre nailing some nice 360 tailgrabs for the first time.

That night after some good food, Rich decided to show us some skills on his skateboard and then demolished everyone at air hockey at the amusements.

Summer Madness � SWATK at Westward Ho!

One of the largest gatherings for some time, SWATK and friends met in mid-August for a weekend of fun, kiting and socialising at Westward Ho!

SWATK trips to Westward Ho! are always well supported, and summer allowed the enjoyment of superb facilities and a warm welcome of Steart Farm Campsite.

It was truly a gathering of SWATK members from far and wide, including a very welcome contingent from Plymouth Kite Club.

SWATK Ozone Demo Weekend � sponsored by Atmosphere Kites

To link in with the re-arranged SWATK race day on Sunday, Atmosphere Kites kindly arranged an Ozone Demo Weekend to enable members to be able to play on the new range of Ozone kites, and to have a sneak preview of the long awaited Ozone Stealth buggy.

As with everything, the weather was the one thing that couldn’t be organised, so when Saturday dawned with torrential rain and no wind, everyone feared the worst. However, as our very own Spyke reports, the day got better and better…

Membership Renewal Time

For those of you that didn’t make it to the AGM we explained that last year we had a 21% increase in the insurance policy and this year we have had 34%. This means that we have to pass it on as we cannot swallow this years once again. So membership has gone up to a massive £13 per year.

On top of that it was decided to move our year-end to December 31st from June 30th as present - to allow this to happen we are having an 18 month membership period running from 1 July to 31 December 2008.
This means that you get the bargain of all time - 18 months membership to the best club in the country for £19.50

Big, Bad French Trip � Part 1. 27-29 April 2007

The packing of cars finally complete, t-shirts printed and delivered, Andy A’s predictions of doom ignored, a horribly early awakening survived....

Finally a bleary-eyed mixture of experienced hands and French trip virgins gathered at the old Hoverport awaiting the ferry.

That is when those who hadn’t read their emails from Speed Ferries had been re-directed back to the Hoverport from the main docks!

What insurance are we offering?

As part of SWATK membership, SWATK has arranged third party public liability insurance for members normally resident in Great Britain, Northern Ireland, the Isle or Man, or the Channel Islands. Cover is given under a policy taken out by SWATK with Zurich Insurance, policy number XAO-122032-2503. The policy has a maximum liability of £5,000,000 in respect of each incident. A copy of the insurance policy is available on request.
